Augustus

Augustus is a graphical user-friendly post-processor for VecTor2, suited for the Microsoft Windows environment. It provides comprehensive post-analysis visualization of results such as the load-deformation response, element stress and strain conditions, crack patterns, damage indicators, and other data of interest.

Augustus reads ASCII text files that the VecTor2 analysis outputs. The output data consists of separate files for each load stage, describing the state of the nodes and elements. The output data also includes the finite element model, the analysis parameters, and the material properties as utilized by VecTor2.

The state of strains, stresses, the crack width, the crack spacing, the displacements, and the internal forces can be visualised at the global level, element level, and through the section. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional data presentation options are available.

In terms of capacities, the basic version of Augustus supports 4,000 elements and 3,500 nodes, consistent with the basic version of VecTor2. The full version of Augustus supports 12,000 elements and 10,000 nodes, similar to the full version of VecTor2.
